The Story Behind Welch Psychiatric Group

Care shaped by experience. Guided by compassion.

Welch Psychiatric Group was created from a belief that psychiatric care should feel thoughtful, personal, and deeply human—not rushed, impersonal, or limited to a diagnosis.

Why This Practice Exists

The diagnosis is rarely the whole story.

Nearly a decade of nursing experience has shown me how profoundly mental health shapes relationships, work, parenting, identity, physical health, and everyday life.

My background includes critical care, trauma, rehabilitation, behavioral health, medically complex care, memory care, skilled nursing, outpatient psychiatry, and nursing education. Across every setting, I learned that meaningful care begins with understanding the person—not simply treating the symptoms.

As a mother of three and a healthcare professional, I understand how difficult it can be to keep functioning while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, or unlike yourself. My goal is to help you feel heard, understand your options, and leave with a path forward that fits your situation and helps you find genuine peace and stability in life.

A Thoughtful Approach

I want to support you in the lowest moments— and the life waiting beyond them.

You should not have to reach a crisis before receiving meaningful support. Whether you are seeking therapy, guidance, medication management, a psychiatric evaluation, or help navigating divorce, custody concerns, work, school, relationships, family dynamics, or parenting, you deserve care that meets you where you are. No matter who you are or what you are facing, my goal is to help you better understand what is happening, identify the support that is most appropriate for your needs, and find a healthier path forward.

01

Understanding First

There is always more to a person's story than what fits into a diagnosis. We begin by understanding what has been happening in your life—your health, relationships, work, family, stressors, and experiences—before making treatment recommendations. Because meaningful care starts with understanding the person, not just the symptoms.

02

Clear, Collaborative Care

There is rarely just one path forward. Whether that includes therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, additional testing, or simply taking time to better understand what you're experiencing, we'll explore those options together. You know your life better than anyone else. My role is to listen, offer guidance, explain your options clearly, and help you choose the approach that feels most appropriate for you.

03

More Than Symptom Relief

The goal is not only to feel less unwell, but to reconnect with your strengths, relationships, purpose, and sense of possibility.

“The work is not about becoming someone entirely new. It is about helping you find your way back to yourself.”

Looking Ahead

Growing access without losing what makes care personal.

Welch Psychiatric Group is beginning as a Colorado telepsychiatry practice centered on individualized, relationship-based care.

As the practice grows, my vision is to thoughtfully expand through additional clinicians, specialty services, educational resources, future in-person opportunities, and partnerships with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory care, long-term care, hospice, and other underserved settings.

The goal is not to become the largest practice. It is to help more people receive the kind of care they deserve.

When You Are Ready

Healing rarely begins with certainty. It begins with one conversation.

You do not need the perfect explanation or all the answers before reaching out. We can begin with what you are experiencing now.
